Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,990 per week in Lufkin, TX

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit operating under a virtual integrated care (VIC) nursing model, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
Monitor and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and general med/surg telemetry conditions
Read and interpret telemetry strips ; telemetry monitor techs are present on the unit but RNs are expected to independently read strips
Manage care for patients requiring respiratory support including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Float to all med/surg units as needed
Adhere to manager-assigned scheduling, including every-other-weekend and holiday requirements
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
Experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac strips independently
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to work an assigned schedule; block scheduling is not available
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience caring for patients with CHF, CKD, diabetes, or pneumonia
Familiarity with virtual integrated care (VIC) nursing models
Experience working alongside PCTs and in a team-based unit environment
