Financial Analyst

Financial AnalystWe are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support plant accounting and finance operations within a manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in inventory accounting, fixed asset management, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of general ledger accounting, and experience working with manufacturing financials.Top QualificationsStrong understanding of General Ledger (GL) accountingDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteKey ResponsibilitiesAssist with internal and external audit activities.Review and audit quarterly fixed assets, including additions, retirements, true-ups, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.Perform monthly inventory balancing for: Raw MaterialsWork-in-Process (WIP)Finished Goods (FG)SuppliesIntercompany chargesAssist with physical inventories of: Finished GoodsWork-in-ProcessBoard InventorySuppliesCompany AssetsMonitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels and communicate findings to Finance and Plant leadership.Support the month-end financial close and consolidation process.Coordinate with corporate finance teams to provide monthly financial reporting and supporting information.Review and resolve discrepancies identified during month-end reporting.Assist with working capital reporting and analysis for the manufacturing facility.Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and develop Margin Enhancement initiatives.Support department managers with financial data, reporting, and analysis.Participate in process improvement initiatives, KPI reporting, and implementation of financial consolidation tools.Analyze financial statements and investigate significant variances.Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Production teams to: Resolve accounting discrepanciesEnsure proper revenue recognitionVerify transaction timingApprove monthly AP accrualsReview and analyze job costing reports and investigate cost variances.Preferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing accounting or plant finance.Strong knowledge of: General Ledger accountingFixed AssetsInventory AccountingJob CostingFinancial ReportingExperience supporting month-end close and financial consolidations.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Production, and Corporate teams.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.Experience with ERP systems is preferred.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
