Veterinary Assistant
VetnCare
Join a Fear-Free, Community-Centered Veterinary Team in California Wine Country!
Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive, collaborative practice? Do you want to be part of a team that values quality care, continuous growth, and a strong community connection? If so, we’d love to meet you.
About Our Hospital
Alley Cat & Dog Pet Hospital is a busy, well-established advanced general practice and urgent care clinic dedicated to delivering fear-free veterinary medicine with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care. Our team brings a wealth of experience in both general practice and urgent care, creating a great learning and support environment.
Schedule
- 4x10s: Wednesday-Friday 9am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-7pm
What We Do
We’re not your average general practice. Our clinic offers a wide range of advanced services that keep our work exciting and our skills sharp:
- Advanced Surgery (TPLO, BOAS, C-Sections)
- Urgent Care & Emergency Triage
- Dentistry with radiographs
- Ultrasound & ECHO
- Comprehensive diagnostics (in-house and reference lab)
We’re proud of our advanced capabilities - and equally proud of the way we support each other every step of the way.
The Role
This is a full-time Veterinary Assistant role . You’ll be involved in assisting our doctors in both general practice and urgent care cases, with the support of a strong clinical and administrative team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and grow in their career. Fear-Free certification or a passion for gentle handling is highly valued.
Our Culture & Values
We take pride in showing up for our community, their pets, and each other. We believe veterinary care should be excellent and approachable. Our team is:
- Hardworking, outgoing, and silly (when appropriate!)
- Focused on personal and professional growth
- Built on trust, teamwork, and transparency
- Passionate about client communication and care
Even on our busiest days, we have each other’s backs — and we always make time to laugh.
Why Napa Valley?
The scenery, food, wine, and lifestyle. This is wine country at its finest. On your days off, you’re surrounded by:
- World-famous wineries & restaurants
- Scenic trails and outdoor adventures
- Incredible cultural events and festivals
- A vibrant mix of locals and visitors from all walks of life
We serve a broad and diverse community - and they’re some of the kindest, most loyal pet parents you’ll ever meet.
