About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Step Down ICU

Contract | Nights | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down ICU setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients transitioning from intensive care, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Assist with chest tube management and support trauma surgery patients as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments and apply stroke protocol knowledge as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU and/or progressive care nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with chest tube management
• Experience supporting trauma surgery patients
• Combined background in both ICU and step-down or progressive care environments
