To lead a growing newsroom, the full-time Managing Editor will oversee daily editorial operations, manage editorial staff, and uphold journalistic standards while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Manage daily editorial workflow and oversee staff reporters, editors, and freelance contributors Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief on editorial strategy and coverage priorities Ensure all published work aligns with editorial mission and standards for accuracy and impact Required Qualifications Significant experience in journalism, including leadership roles in a newsroom Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong news judgment with a track record of shaping high-impact journalism Experience with fact-checking and editorial standards processes Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
