Information Technology Generalist 1

Job Overview Information Technology Generalist 1 provides in-person technical support to a wide range of devices, systems, and applications used across Health and Human Services offices. The role includes resolving incidents, installing and configuring equipment, managing user accounts, supporting network connectivity, creating documentation, and delivering user training. Key Responsibilities Resolve incidents and problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Install, configure, and support computers, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment. Manage user accounts, security settings, and access controls across assigned systems. Support cabling, equipment, and connectivity for local and statewide networks. Create support documentation and track incidents using approved reporting tools. Provide instruction to staff on devices, applications, and system functions. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment. Work hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework possibility: work from home part-time; required to report to office at least 3 days per week. Must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and an approved Pennsylvania location. Starting annual salary $59,345.00 (before taxes). Qualifications One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Technician, or Three years of IT experience in applications development/maintenance, networking or desktop services, web development or design, or other IT support/administration services. One year of IT experience in the same areas plus an associate’s degree in any IT field, or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement. Must be able to perform essential job functions. Must pass background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements. Benefits Salary as stated.
