About the Role Position: Per Diem Urgent Care Physician (IM/FM) Location: Peekskill, NY Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified Non‑Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Pay & Bonus Pay: $114.03 - $129.69 per hour Sign‑On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants: $5,000 – Terms and Conditions Apply Responsibilities Participate in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope. Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients. Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians. Complete and participate in chart review process. Referral and follow‑up of patients when needed. Collaborate with other members of the Health Center to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction. Clinical supervision of students or new providers, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards. Provide mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop clinical skills and professional behaviour. Facilitate educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of mentees. Assess performance of students or new providers, provide constructive feedback and document progress. Ensure high‑quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers. Work closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Requirements Doctorate Degree (MD, DO) Active/Valid license as an MD or DO in New York State, DEA registration, Board certification Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred) Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred) Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in a community health setting.
