GNC Modeling & Simulation Sr Engineer - Dallas

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who specializes in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions. The position is part of a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. Responsibilities Design and document model and simulation requirements and architecture. Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) and effects‑based simulations. Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments, and verify system and subsystem level requirements. Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities. Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities. Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers. Work with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C++ models, and tactical software into simulations. Basic Qualifications Post‑secondary STEM degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Interim DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship required. Willingness to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment. Experience in digital simulation development for infrared sensor systems. Advanced proficiency in C++ and MATLAB (or Python). Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills. Desired Skills Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance. Experience operating in Linux environments. Experience with Agile development practices. Experience performing GNC assignments such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms. Experience developing and/or verifying/validating complex vehicle models and simulations (e.g., missile 6‑DOF). Experience developing, verifying, and validating complex Electro‑Optical/InfraRed and/or Radio Frequency sensor models. Ability to perform pre‑flight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses. Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real‑time performance requirements. Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git. Security Clearance Secret clearance required. You must be a U.S. Citizen.
