Job Summary:   

Responsible for   managing and tracking ramp communication equipment, including radios, scanners, and related inventory. This role ensures all equipment is properly signed in and out,   maintained   in working order, and accurately recorded for operational accountability.

Job Duties:   

  • Assigned to the Equipment Room to manage daily operations and control of ramp communication tools  

  • Sign radios, scanners, and other United Ramp inventory items in and out to team members at the start and end of each shift  

  • Maintain a detailed daily log (paper or electronic) of all issued and returned equipment  

  • Prepare and   submit   daily inventory reports to management for review  

  • Ensure   all devices are always adequately charged.  

  • Requisition, receive, store, and distribute ramp equipment including radios, scanners, wands, headsets, and related items  

  • Ensure the Equipment Room   remains   organized, secure, and fully stocked  

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and promptly report any discrepancies or damaged equipment  

  • Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.  

  • Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Company's Fair and Just Culture Policy.   

  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the   appropriate skill , experience, and capabilities expected for this position.  

 

Qualifications:   

  • High School diploma or GED.  

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.  

  • Must be able to obtain credentials   required   as   per airport or state   requirements.  

 

Physical requirements :   

  • Must be able to   constantly   l ift , m ove up to 70 lbs;   Frequently   l if t, m ove   weights   greater than  70 lbs ; and   constantly   w alk , s tand,   r each   a bove   s houlder,   c limb , c rawl,   s toop,   s quat,   k neel   and   b end.   

 

Working conditions:   

  • Must be able to   work   in   rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.  

  • Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include   severe   seasonal elements .  

  • Must be able to work in an   office bound   environment.
