About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Manager of External Affairs, the Development Coordinator manages the planning and implementation of campaigns and events, oversees supporter and partner engagement efforts, manages project timelines and deliverables, and supports external community engagement efforts that increase CFC’s revenue, visibility, and support. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting teams to implement key stakeholder and resource development initiatives, including the signature Holiday Angels program. This position collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
Resource Development
- Partner with the Senior Manager of External Affairs to set annual targets, execute strategies, and track results that inform organization wide strategic plan and External Affairs metrics.
- Plan, manage, and execute campaigns and appeals to expand and diversify the agency’s revenue streams and support.
- Support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship in collaboration with the Senior Manager of External Affairs.
- Coordinate and implement community partner engagement and strategic outreach for signature events.
- Develop materials and messaging to support campaigns, stakeholder engagement initiatives, grant submissions, and reports.
- Ensure consistent, hygienic data practices across all CRM systems and other External Affairs tools, conducting routine data cleaning, stakeholder segmentation, and ensuring timely acknowledgement of contributions and participation.
- Manage and leverage CRM systems and data to strengthen cultivation and accurately track and report on all resource development activities and outcomes across systems and records.
- Prepare materials and reports to support the CFC Fund Development Committee and Board members in donor cultivation and stakeholder engagement.
Project Management and Vendor Coordination
- Produce and manage comprehensive project timelines to ensure coordinated planning, development, and execution across communications and development initiatives.
- Co-lead and manage the Holiday Angels project team to implement the agency’s annual toy distribution event, ensuring the event meets resource development, marketing, and community engagement objectives.
- Develop, manage, and track Holiday Angels budget and work plans to ensure milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
- Play key role in supporting the planning and implementation of logistics, outreach, partner coordination for agency signature community and fundraising events.
External Affairs and Community Engagement
- Support the execution of integrated communications strategies that advance resource development goals.
- Support the creation, publication, and refinement of written and digital content across print, website, and social media platforms, including impact reports, blogs and email newsletters.
- Represent the agency at external events and stakeholder engagements, as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational success.
Requirements:Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fund development, project management, or communications within a nonprofit environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading staff or consultants to achieve measurable goals.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communications platforms.
- Strong data and fiscal management capabilities, including budget development, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain flexible, innovative, and responsive to the agency’s evolving needs.
- Commitment to CFC’s mission and values with a focus on equity, inclusion, and community impact.
Working Conditions
- Typical of an office environment with hybrid or telework flexibility after introductory period.
- Must have reliable transportation for local meetings and events.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability required for events or outreach activities.
- Must comply with agency health and safety protocols and successfully pass a background check.
