Benefits Specialist

Location: Fully onsite in Richmond, VA

Work Type: Permanent/Direct Hire

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annual base, commensurate with experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours

Insight Global is hiring a Benefits Specialist to support the administration and optimization of employee benefits programs across the U.S. This role involves working closely with HR teams, employees, and benefit vendors to ensure seamless administration of health, welfare, retirement, and savings programs while helping deliver a best-in-class employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and savings plans.
• Assist with annual open enrollment activities, employee communications, and benefits education.
• Maintain and audit employee benefit data within HRIS systems to ensure accuracy.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and vendor-related issues.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to verify enrollments and resolve benefit-related concerns.
• Support disability program administration and various HR projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting employee benefits administration.
• Strong understanding of employee benefit plans and HR processes.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms; UKG experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or Benefits.
• Familiarity with self-funded benefit plans and benefits compliance.
