Driver/Yard Attendant

Description Keep Our Dealership Moving Boater's World Marine Centers is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Yard Attendant/Driver to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in the daily operations of the dealership. You'll be responsible for safely trailering and moving boats throughout the dealership, maintaining an organized and professional yard, and supporting the Sales, Service, and Parts Departments to ensure boats are ready for customers, technicians, and deliveries. What You'll Do Boat Trailering & Yard Operations Safely trailer and move boats throughout the dealership to support daily Sales, Service, and Parts operations Transport boats between the showroom, service department, storage areas, and delivery staging locations Assist with staging boats for customer deliveries, showroom presentation, and service appointments Load, unload, and properly position boats and trailers throughout the dealership Assist with receiving and organizing incoming inventory to maintain an efficient lot layout Yard Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and professional dealership appearance Perform routine lot maintenance, debris removal, and general housekeeping Monitor inventory locations and report any damage or maintenance concerns Help maintain safe traffic flow and organization throughout the dealership Service & Sales Support Assist Marine Technicians by moving boats in and out of service bays Support the Sales Team by preparing boats for customer deliveries and demonstrations Help maintain efficient workflow by ensuring boats are staged and available when needed Assist with dealership events, inventory movement, and additional operational needs Equipment & Safety Safely operate dealership trucks, trailers, forklifts, tractors, and other yard equipment Perform routine inspections of trailers and towing equipment before use Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (must have been licensed for a minimum of 4 years) Previous experience trailering and maneuvering boats, trailers, RVs, utility trailers, or similar equipment strongly preferred Comfortable backing trailers and safely moving boats throughout dealership property Previous experience in a yard, marina, dealership, landscaping, equipment, or similar outdoor role is a plus Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with boats or marine equipment preferred Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, walking, and climbing in and around boats Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment Willingness to work Saturdays and additional hours during peak boating season Why Join Boater's World Marine Centers?
