As an RN on our team, you will join a consistently welcoming, engaging and encouraging family of caregivers dedicated to effective teamwork and promoting positive patient outcomes. Using your nursing knowledge, you will ensure each person feels comfortable, well-attended and safe throughout their entire stay. Not only does this position offer hands-on experience in various endoscopy procedures but also the ability to the lives of patients and their families every day.How You'll BenefitOur Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. with weekend requirementsA caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide direct nursing care.Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.Administer prescribed medications and treatments.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.Educate patients and their families.Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.Minimum QualificationsGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment based on the department service level RN is hired intoOne year of current acute care RN experience.
