Join FirstHealth of the Carolinas and help us in our mission to become the best place to work in healthcare!*15,000 Sign-on Bonus*Current/former Military Welcome to Apply!*Free FirstHealth Fitness Membership*Great BenefitsResponsibilitiesHas training in Nuclear Medicine (NM) studies such as Nuclear Stress Test, Bone Scans, HIDA Scans, Lung scans, Thyroid Scans, Liver Scans, and Brain ScansPrepares facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required by the institution.Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed, using computer and following physician's prescription.Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.Starts patient IV's.Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning.Accomplish computer processing and imaging enhancement.Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.Monitoring the departments daily, monthly, and quarterly QC under the guidelines of the NRC.Thrives in an environment where exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork are top prioritiesA supportive management teamA comprehensive Electronic Medical Record System (EPIC)QualificationsNuclear Med Tech QualificationsEducation and Certification:Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine through NMTCB or ARRT.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.Experience:Training and experience in conducting various NM studies, including Nuclear Stress Tests, Bone Scans, HIDA Scans, Lung Scans, Thyroid Scans, Liver Scans, and Brain Scans preferred but not required.Skills:Strong technical skills in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating NM equipment.Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.Proficiency in computer processing and imaging enhancement.Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards.Exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.Join our dedicated team at FirstHealth of the Carolinas and contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and innovative environment.
