Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Eliassen Group Our industry-leading client in the energy sector is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager III to support and lead critical telecom initiatives within Transmission, Distribution, and Telecommunications. The selected candidate will play a key role in overseeing multiple regional projects, including the Integrated Volt-Var Control initiative. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $50 - $65 / hr. w2 Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage cross-functional telecom project teams, coordinating efforts across Transmission, Distribution, and Telecommunications departments. Serve as a liaison between Agile Product Owners, telecom delivery teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and execution. Plan and execute all phases of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality. Facilitate project planning activities such as risk assessment, regulatory strategy, vendor management, and budgeting. Maintain open communication among stakeholders through structured meetings and reporting. Work closely with Agile teams to ensure accurate task tracking in JIRA, following established departmental standards. Present project updates and business cases to senior leadership effectively. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related project management experience (OR High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of relevant experience) Demonstrated experience managing telecom, transmission, and distribution projects Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban, alongside PMP-based project execution Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with budgets ranging up to $250M Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Project Management or Business Administration PMP, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, CM2-P, or Kanban Management Professional (KMP I or II) certifications Previous experience working within the utility industry Working knowledge of construction management, engineering, and operations Excellent critical thinking, risk assessment, and decision-making skills Working Conditions: Hybrid work model: Onsite presence required Tuesday through Thursday Occasional field visits may be necessary for project oversight If you're a seasoned project manager with deep experience in telecommunications, utilities, and Agile project environments, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-impact team shaping critical infrastructure projects.
