We CGI is seeking an experienced and motivated Unix Engineer (Hybrid Cloud) to join our infrastructure team supporting a leading global Bank client.
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining secure, reliable Unix/Linux patching solutions across hybrid cloud environments, including the testing, certification, and deployment of OS patches and platform enhancements.
The position will also support patch tooling integration and automation capabilities to strengthen platform security, compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

This is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity located in Jacksonville, FL in a Hybrid Model.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, test and certify patching solutions, patch catalogues and platform enhancements.
Support OS patch engineering, patch tooling integration and automation capabilities across infrastructure platforms.
Validate, test and release patches to meet production, compliance and operational requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
At least 5+ years of Unix/Linux engineering or systems administration experience within large enterprise environments.

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux OS patch engineering, including patch analysis, testing, certification, deployment, and validation.
• Experience supporting Unix/Linux infrastructure across on-premises, virtualized, and/or cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and platform maintenance.
• Experience with Shell/Bash scripting and automation of infrastructure and patching activities.
• Experience with configuration management or automation technologies such as Ansible or equivalent.
• Knowledge of YAML and automation/configuration files.
• Experience integrating or supporting patch-management and infrastructure tooling.
• Understanding of vulnerability remediation, system hardening, security controls, and patch compliance.
• Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience working within formal change, release, incident, and operational governance processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
