Job Brief The Ordering & Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for ordering, shipping, receiving, and other logistical functions detailed below. These tasks are to be accomplished within an ISO 9001 Quality System. The position will primarily work during normal business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but may require occasional off‑hours and weekend work, and travel. The goal of the Ordering & Trade Compliance Manager is to ensure clients receive accurate orders within their time constraints. To accomplish this goal the position will be required to maintain direct communication with the Danish Headquarters, as well as US Accounting, Sales, Service, Calibration, Rental, Thermocouple, Logistics & Marketing teams. Responsibilities Managing a team supporting all order processing and trade compliance, both domestically and internationally. Managing client order support (communicate directly with client as necessary for updates on orders or issues) Managing & entering sales orders into MS NAV (maintain accurate records) Monitoring and evaluation of all order issues Coordinating inside sales orders with Danish manufacturing team and various global vendors Mailing/Shipping/Receiving and associated communication with applicable teams and client Verifying accuracy of sales team quotes, working out any issues directly with sales team Managing inventory of raw materials and finished goods Planning/monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries Assisting with communicating appropriate tariff classification to internal/external teams Assisting with day‑to‑day trade activities to ensure international shipments are within compliance. This includes shipping documentation and determination of Harmonized System Code (HS) classification Assisting with maintaining the Product Classification Database which classifies hundreds of Ellab’s products under HTSUS codes while ensuring accuracy thereof Assisting in developing, updating, and executing Customs Compliance program, together with the trade compliance team in Denmark Assisting with managing record retention of all import/export related documentation to ensure compliance with record‑keeping laws and regulations Identifying, reporting, and effectively resolving quality issues Preparing for and supporting internal and external quality audits of order processing and trade compliance procedures Developing procedure and work instructions to maintain and improve process Assisting with conducting internal audit and assessment of business activities for adherence to import/export procedures throughout the business lifecycle Other duties as assigned by upper management Requirements 3+ years prior experience managing a small team Demonstrated prior experience in International Import/Export Customs Compliance Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Nav/Business Central is preferred Prior experience working with UPS and FedEx companies & software is preferred Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast‑paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Extremely strong, proven attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Hands on experience with office machines (printers, fax) #J-18808-Ljbffr Ellab
