Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Small Engine Repair Shop Manager to lead our repair operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily shop activities, manage a team of skilled technicians, and ensure the highest quality of service for small engines, including lawnmowers, generators, and other power equipment. Your leadership will drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties

Lead and coordinate daily shop operations, ensuring timely repair of small engines and power equipment
Supervise service technicians, providing guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and best practices
Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs, maintaining optimal stock levels
Review repair schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues such as diesel engine problems or electrical faults
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace that adheres to industry standards
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering solutions to clients’ needs

Qualifications

Proven experience or background in automotive or equipment repair is highly preferred
Service technician experience with small engines, generators, heavy machinery or similar equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, engines, and mechanical components
Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues
Hands-on experience with maintenance, electrical work (including soldering), welding, and running point of sale systems
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively
Customer service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to interact with clients confidently
