USR- Well Service - Truck Driver - LaSalle, CO. Region

The Bed Truck Driver: Levels 1 - 3 is responsible for moving all equipment around on location and reporting to Truck Pusher. Pay Range for Truck Driver (Levels 1 3) Starting pay depending on experience $25.00 - $35.00.

Internal Relationships: Truck Pusher, other Truck Drivers, Yard Hands, Mechanics, Rig Managers and Yard office personnel, Service Manager / Shop Supervisor

External Relationships: Third party Contractors

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Works in a safe, healthy, and environmentally protective manner
• Moves drilling rigs and related equipment from the current location to the new location
• Ensures all required paperwork is in their truck
• Keeps trip sheets, interstate mileage records, and logbooks
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment and performs light maintenance on units they drive
• Maintains pre-trip inspection records
• Abided by and is responsible for enforcement of safety policies
• Follows all load securement requirements
• Follows direction and is in close communication with supervisor and rig managers
• Documents work per Ensign standards
• Abided by all DOT laws, rules and regulations and is willing and able to travel when and where requested
• Demonstrates willingness and availability to work long hours and weekends when requested on short notice
• Reports and corrects any unsafe work practices and safety hazards
• Participates in all safety programs, processes and requirements
• Attends Operations Training up to two times per year and up to five days per training at designated locations
• Performs other duties as directed by management
• Level 1: Understands and is proficient in Haul Truck: Level 3 duties; performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections; demonstrates knowledge of capabilities of truck; checks lines for wear or breakage; communicates well and completes paper work and logs properly
• Level 2: Understands and is proficient in Bed Truck Driver: Level 1 duties; demonstrates knowledge of proper lifting capabilities of bed truck; cleans and maintains truck; makes sure truck has proper rigging equipment to perform job safely; helps out in yard, when asked; answers phone when needed for after-hours duty; mentors Bed Truck Drivers: Level 1
• Level 3: Understands and is proficient in Bed Truck Driver: Levels 1 & 2 duties; demonstrates knowledge of where all pieces set; performs paperwork daily; assists with other operations as needed; mentors Bed Truck Drivers: Levels 1 & 2

• Certifications - Maintains valid First Aid and CPR Certifications and technical and safety certifications required by company or government agencies; remains current on all OSHA, EUSD and other required training
• Drug-free workplace - Conforms to a drug-free workplace, not be under the influence of mind-altering prescription or non-prescription drugs, including alcohol and other drugs of abuse.
• Occupational Health and Safety Understands fully the Ensign Health and Safety policy and self-responsibility for own health and safety at work; Demonstrates responsibility to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission
• Uses the correct protective clothing and equipment as provided by Ensign and guards against misuse or damage to such equipment
• Reports any hazardous situations arising in the workplace that cannot be self corrected, or injury incurred during the course of work, no matter how minor
• Avoids injury resulting from manual handling tasks, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques

Technical Competencies:

• Understands and is capable of reading all safety / training requirements and materials
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic mechanical and technical skills
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Level 1: High School diploma or GED is preferred
• Level 2: High School diploma or GED and 1 year of experience is preferred
• Level 3: High School diploma or GED and 3 years of experience is preferred

Qualifications:

• The employee must: be at least 21 years of age, according to USDOT regulations
• pass a post-offer physical examination, fitness testing, safety aptitude test, drug tests & background check
• provide proof of and maintain proper legal authorization to work in the United States
• arrange for reliable transportation to and from work and training locations
• be able to speak and read English well enough to understand verbal and written safety postings, alerts and announcements, communicate with co-workers and be able to participate in job safety analysis meetings
• maintain a valid CDL Class A License, preferably with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements; good driving record and medical card; and meet Ensign Insurance Requirements to drive, including permission for release of driver records
