About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Charge experience highly preferred - Weekend availability required - Floating required Description: Must have New York license in hand. Specialty: ICU RN. Every other weekend required. Patient ratio is 2-3. First-time travelers may be considered. Travel experience is required. Candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS is required. Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care is necessary. Skills in continuous IV sedation and emergency medications are essential. Familiarity with isolation precautions and infection prevention is expected. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias required. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring is needed. Ability to start and maintain IVs is essential. Knowledge of thermoregulation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is required. Experience with phlebotomy and PICC line management is preferred. Unit's patient age group is adults, with a daily census of around 7. The unit has a total of 9 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Background policy reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Return staff must have been away for a minimum of 6 months. Training modules are required and may vary by specialty.
