Gillmann Service is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators for Grand Haven Michigan for a long term project

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and/or motor graders.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, loading, and site preparation.
• Safely maneuver equipment around workers, utilities, structures, and other jobsite hazards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Complete routine maintenance such as greasing, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
• Follow project plans, grade specifications, and directions from supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements.
• Assist with general construction duties when equipment operation is not required.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and be willing to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and understand basic site plans and grade requirements.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical labor as required.
