We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.Essential ResponsibilitiesEnsure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examine the form and texture of parts.Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Control downtime by conducting routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.Experience / EducationHigh School DiplomaPrior field-related experienceAbility to pass required company tests and maintain proficiency during probationary trainingQualificationsPrevious experience in electrical engineering or related fieldsFamiliarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manualsFamiliarity with electrical equipment and hand toolsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsSolid understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbingWelding and cutting skills preferredProficient in reading and writingAbility to troubleshoot motor and control systemsPerform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systemsAdhere to all quality and safety codesPhysical Demands / Work EnvironmentStanding for extended periodsCapable of lifting at least 50 lbs.Manufacturing plant environment with large machinery and moving parts, forklift traffic, and material storageCapable of climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working in restricted or confined spacesOvertime as neededBenefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
