- Learn and comply with The Allison Inn & Spa policies and procedures.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Manages and organizes the activities of the hotel's restaurant, in-room dining and bar operation to maintain high standards of food, service and beverage quality.
- Responsible for maximizing profitability of all areas. Implements effective controls of labor and beverage costs and monitors the budgets to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
- Assures high standards of food and beverage quality and service to maximize profits and insure outstanding customer service.
- Consistently interviews, trains, supervises, coaches, schedules and evaluates staff.
- Ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers and team members.
- Demonstrate team building experience.
- Demonstrate ability to lead by example.
- Build morale and spirit.
- Work a minimum of 45 - 50 hours a week (subject to business needs)
- Experienced communicator and trainer.
- Instill a positive and gracious guest service attitude in all team members
- Previous managerial experience in fine dining establishments with a strong knowledge of wine and spirits is required.
- Closely monitors guests dining experiences with consistent table touches.
- Runs energetic, informative daily lineups for the restaurant, lounge and room service.
- Maintains impeccable cleanliness and organizational standards.
- While guests are present must be on the restaurant floor.
- Follow all rules and regulations of The Allison Inn and Spa Food and Beverage Department.
- Adheres to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Enforces regulations required to hold a valid Food Handlers Card.
- Enforces regulations required to hold a valid OLCC permit.
- Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Two (2) years of restaurant management experience in a hotel/resort setting preferred.
- Strong technical skills pertaining to proper service and guest interaction.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Works well with limited support when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of computers.
- Exceptional detail in follow-up.
- Follow/enforce company policies and procedures.
- Assume responsibility/accountability.
- Teaches suggestive selling techniques.
- Must be flexible and able to work long hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
- An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service.
- Must possess a valid OLCC permit.
- Possess a valid Oregon Food Handlers card.
- Successful passing of a pre-employment background investigation.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of heavy wine, boxes, supplies.
- Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas.
- Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas and to talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level is moderate.
- The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the team member moves between guest spaces, outdoors and refrigerators for example.
