Associate Attorney - Family Law

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in Family Law to join their team in Sandy, Utah. The ideal candidate will represent clients in various family law matters, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience are also encouraged to apply. Duties Conduct legal research and prepare for legal proceedings. Attend mediations and provide legal counsel with senior associates. Maintain detailed client records and draft legal documents. Advise clients on Family Law, Divorce, Custody, and related matters. Negotiate settlements and comply with legal standards. Communicate effectively with clients and maintain professionalism. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Utah Bar Admission required; additional bar admissions are a plus. Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA). At least 1 year of experience in Utah Family Law. Experience with protective orders and juvenile court matters preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree Certifications Utah Bar Admission Skills Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and billing software.
