Position Summary:

The role will play a vital role within Human Resources managing and investigating the most complex employee relations cases, developing, and implementing advanced ER strategies/processes and providing leadership within the ER Center of Excellence. There are three primary facets to this position, and individuals may be assigned to one or more of them:

1. Investigator

2. Team Lead-mentor team/approve work items such as disciplinary items

3. Projects-lead two or more major ER processes (job elimination, EEOC) Serving as the senior

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct high-profile and complex ER investigations such as workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, sexual misconduct, violence, and theft with discretion and sensitivity

· Conduct thorough, professional, and efficient interviews of individuals accused of violations, witnesses, and reporting persons to obtain key facts for proper decision-making

· Synthesize investigative findings into detailed reports, providing data-driven recommendations for corrective action and policy enhancements.

· Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all investigation activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance with record keeping standards within the identified case management system.

· Ensure all investigative processes comply with federal, state and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.

· Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to HR Leadership, legal counsel, and management on complex employee relations issues.

· Design and implement training programs focused on investigative techniques and processes, legal compliance and conflict resolution.

· Utilize advanced analytical tools to identify and report on trends in employee relations issues, recommending strategic interventions to mitigate risk.

· Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.

· Confer with the Office of the General Counsel regarding company response to Civil Rights complaints and EEOC charges.

· May be called as a subject matter expert in various judicial proceedings

· Review complex disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, to mitigate risk associated with employment actions.

· Leads and supports specific employee relations processes to include Reduction in Force and Job Reassignment actions.

Qualifications:

Required

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

· Bachelor's degree in, Human Resources, Business Administration, law or a related field.

· Certified investigator (AWI) or have the ability to obtain designation within 1 year.

Experience:

· Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an Employee Relations role to include:

• Solving complex investigations
• Coaching Managers and employees
• Experience in a highly regulated industry or large-scale organization

Knowledge of:

· In depth knowledge of local, State and Federal laws governing investigations and related personnel matters

· Advanced knowledge of employment laws and regulations including ADA, FLSA, EEO, FMLA, Title VII and other related statues.

· Ability to recognize and define problems; gather sophisticated data and analyze it; establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

· Demonstrate unquestionable integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in a wide variety of situations

· Write routine reports and business correspondence

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization

· Demonstrate expertise in investigative methodologies, including witness interviewing, credibility assessment and report writing.

· Advance skill in conflict resolution with a proven track record of resolving high-stakes employee relations issues.

Preferred

• Advanced Degree (Masters in HR, JD)

• HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) Knowledge of ACG personnel policies and procedures

Work Environment:

This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $85,966 - $105,000 with annual bonus potential, based on performance.

Time Off & Leave

• Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.

• Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
