Partner with the best

As a Coating Cell Operator, you’ll be operating the coating booth applying thermal spray to complex gas turbine components. Using OEM drawings & specifications while maintaining safety as the top priority. Performs quality inspections throughout the coating process meeting all engineering requirements to maintain the highest quality standards.

As a Coating Cell Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Having knowledge of coating operations, coating equipment, fixtures, and parameters for the coating process for various gas turbine components
• Have the ability to prepare, mask, and grit blast components to the appropriate surface finish
• Have the ability to coat parts both via plasma and HVOF processes with various powders and properly collect all required samples
• Have the ability to run robotic programs and controls as required and program from scratch
• Having equipment knowledge to properly maintain the coating booth in top operating condition and possess good troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve any issues
• Working closely with engineers, repair technicians, and machinists to apply the appropriate amount of coating to meet all requirements
• Operating forklifts, cranes, and other material-moving equipment
• Have the ability to perform various other assembly and repair duties in a turbine repair shop when the coating cell is not in use

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Have 5+ years of coating experience
• Have experience with forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools, and power tools needed for assembly
• Have experience with coating equipment, preferably gas turbine equipment
• Have in-depth knowledge of gas turbines

• 1 shift: M-F, 6am-1:30pm
• 2nd Shift: M-F – 2pm – 10:30pm
