Part Time Phlebotomist

Job Overview Part Time Phlebotomist, Salem, OR. Work schedule Monday - Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm, additional hours and rotating Saturday as needed. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 or more months of phlebotomy experience (preferred); or completion of an accredited phlebotomy certification or training program. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. Compensation Quarterly incentive bonus program: PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
