Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Location Columbus, Ohio, 43213 Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift (0630-1600, 4 nine‑hour shifts plus on‑call) Position Purpose The Interventional Radiology RN assists with all procedures such as Ultrasound, CT, and Neurology cases. The schedule is 0630-1600 (four nine‑hour shifts) plus on‑call, with typically ten on‑call shifts in a 6‑week schedule. Previous ICU experience is preferred but not required. The RN Specialist oversees and coordinates nursing care in the Department of Radiology, assessing patient needs, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. They act as liaison between Patient Care Services and Radiology Services and assist physicians/technologists during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. What You Will Do Provide nursing care, ensure patient safety, promote evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibit professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®. Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, using evidence‑based practice, and collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a care plan that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components. Communicate accurately and timely with appropriate team members, keeping patients/families apprised and updated. Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, or guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of a nursing school. Licensure/Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Experience: Minimum of two years medical/surgical experience. Critical care experience preferred or Radiology RN certification.
