Manufacturing Accountant

Gummi World is a fast-growing nutraceutical gummy manufacturer and part of Intiva Health, an innovative healthcare technology company headquartered in Austin, Texas. Our Chandler, Arizona facility specializes in producing high-quality gummy supplements for leading brands across the health and wellness industry.

We are looking for a driven, analytical, and hands-on Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our growing team in Chandler, Arizona. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex financial challenges, and wants to make a direct impact on operational performance and profitability.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Accountant will oversee accounting operations and financial analysis functions supporting manufacturing, inventory, and operational performance at Gummi World. This position plays a critical role in cost & managerial accounting, budgeting, margin analysis, inventory controls, financial reporting, and ERP optimization.

The ideal candidate combines technical accounting expertise with strong operational and analytical skills and can confidently partner with leadership, production, supply chain, and finance teams to improve efficiency, visibility, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

  • Manage all manufacturing accounting activities, including:

    • Standard costing

    • Cost accounting

    • Inventory accounting

    • Labor and overhead allocations

    • BOM (Bill of Materials) analysis

    • Variance reporting

  • Perform break-even analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reporting across product lines and manufacturing operations.

  • Analyze production costs, material usage, waste, scrap, and operational efficiencies to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Support inventory controls, cycle counts, reconciliations, and physical inventory processes.

  • Maintain accurate inventory valuation and ensure proper accounting treatment for manufacturing transactions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and variance analysis activities.

  • Deliver actionable financial insights and KPI reporting to support strategic business decisions.

  • Assist leadership with operational planning and financial modeling.

ERP & Systems Optimization

  • Lead or support NetSuite implementation, optimization, and process improvements.

  • Ensure ERP systems accurately support manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and workflow efficiencies.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company financial policies.

  • Support audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with operations, procurement, production, warehouse, and leadership teams.

  • Train and mentor team members on accounting procedures, financial systems, and reporting best practices.

  • Help create scalable accounting processes that support company growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, CPG, food production, nutraceuticals, or inventory-heavy environments.

  • Strong experience in:

    • Cost accounting

    • Managerial accounting

    • Inventory accounting

    • Financial analysis

    • Break-even analysis

    • Budgeting and forecasting

  • Advanced understanding of GAAP and manufacturing financial operations.

  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
