Child Life Specialist (30 Hours)Position Summary: Child Life Specialist 30 hours (two, 10 hours days in CHPCC Primary Care and one, 10 hour day in Cardiac in-patient).Key Responsibilities:Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitating adjustment to health care experiences for patientsServing as member of multidisciplinary teamProviding support to patients and families from birth to young adults population.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life.600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced-based knowledge.Well-developed writing skills, and excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.Child Life Certification required within 1 year of hireStatus: Part-TimeStandard Hours per Week: 30Pay Range: $39171.60-$62673.00 AnnualOffice/Site Location: BostonJob Posting Category: ClinicalRemote Eligibility: Onsite Only
