JV Soccer Coach

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our Junior Varsity Soccer program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of soccer techniques and strategies, along with a passion for mentoring young athletes. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to foster a positive team environment, and a commitment to the development of each player both on and off the field.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the Junior Varsity Soccer team.
- Plan and conduct practices that enhance players' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Organize and oversee all aspects of the JV soccer season, including scheduling games and coordinating travel.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director and other coaching staff to ensure alignment with the overall athletic program goals.
- Monitor and assess player performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team growth.
- Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and player development.
- Ensure compliance with all league rules and regulations, as well as school policies.
- Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, hard work, and dedication.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and trends in girls soccer.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or junior varsity level.
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and school staff.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
- A background in physical education, sports management, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements :
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which may include bending, twisting, reaching, pushing or pulling, lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to approximately 40 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
