Foreign Language Spanish Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

Overview The Wappingers Central School District is seeking a Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 school year, effective September 1, 2026. Responsibilities Teach Spanish language and culture, demonstrating higher‑level vocabulary and teaching all modes of communication, following best practices for the Seal of Biliteracy. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities to support student success and curriculum development. Qualifications Valid NYSED certification in Spanish. Fluency or certification in multiple languages encouraged. Well versed in ACTFL 5 C’s and best practices for teaching in the target language. Experience in teaching all modes of communication and demonstrating higher‑level vocabulary. Knowledge of best practices for the Seal of Biliteracy.
