Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intensive Care Unit position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and a compact or NC RN license.

Details

• 16-bed adult ICU managing critical illness, ventilated patients, and post-op care
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with average length of stay of 3-7 days
• Rotating day and night shift schedule on a 6-week cycle, typically 3 weeks days and 3 weeks nights
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• May be scheduled on holidays based on unit need
• May be placed on standby call once per pay period

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI-B certification required
• Experience with point of care testing
• Strong skills in care of patients with complex medical problems
