Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join a growing and dynamic finance team in the Buckhead area. This role will play a key part in managing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reporting packages for leadership
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Analyze financial variances and trends, providing actionable insights to management
• Maintain and review general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support audit processes, including gathering documentation and responding to audit requests
• Assist with fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and cash management activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Partner cross-functionally with AP, AR, and operational teams to improve processes and reporting
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience (Senior-level preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
• Experience in a mid-to-large size organization or multi-entity environment
• Exposure to audit, tax, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) is a plus

Pay Details: $40.00 to $44.00 per hour
