Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit care is sought for a position located in Bismarck, North Dakota. The facility is a Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit that requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care within a specialized tele/ cardiac unit, managing adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions. The shift schedule includes 12-hour shifts with days and weekends, and candidates must be prepared to float to help during operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are every other week, with the first shift to float being on a day basis.
• Required Qualifications: Active license to submit, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and ability to read and interpret electrocardiogram strips. Candidates must have tele/ cardiac RN experience with PCU background, and Epic electronic medical records experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a tele/ cardiac environment, familiarity with Epic EMR system.
• Additional Information: RTO (Request to Off) days are required upfront within 7 days or less for a 13-week contract. No additional RTO will be approved after submission. The unit operates at Trauma Level 2 and is within an acute care setting. Floating to other units such as Medical/Surgical may be required to cover full patient loads.
