Electronics Technician Maintenance I – Digital Range Training System (DRTS) GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Digital Range Training System (DRTS) Electronics Technician Maintenance (ETM) I in support of the Warfighter Training Readiness Solution (W‑TRS) Contract, formerly known as ATMP. The DRTS program enables range modernization for tactical vehicle training and provides infrastructure and instrumentation for Abrams, Bradley, Stryker, and Aviation platform live‑fire gunnery training and combined arms live‑fire exercises (CALFEX). Job Summary ETM I will report to the Range Team Leads and ensure Army standard maintenance of all DRTS non‑IT equipment, maintaining communication between the Player Unit (PU) and DRTS systems during training events. Responsibilities Operate workstations including AAR, range target, and instrumentation. Conduct PMCS of non‑IT DRTS equipment. Assist Tech III with repairs of non‑IT DRTS equipment. Apply standard operating or corrective procedures in response to computer output instructions or error conditions; refer issues requiring further troubleshooting to the Team Lead. Install and deinstall Player Units (PUs) on designated military vehicles and DRTS equipment. Construct and install target frames; repair and replenish damaged targets. Reestablish failed communication with down‑range equipment; monitor and ensure PUs remain in communication with DRTS systems. Conduct ground maintenance around all target pits, buildings, and service areas. Use MIS maintenance control program to open work orders and order needed parts. Report acquisition of supplies, equipment, and parts weekly to the Team Lead. Conduct inspection and inventory of all assigned equipment before and after each live‑fire training event for accountability and serviceability. Support the GDIT/W‑TRS cross‑training plan to assist other W‑TRS TADSS on installation. Qualifications Education: AA/AS or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 2+ years of related experience managing US Army DRTS equipment/ranges; military experience preferred. Technical skills in electronic equipment, heavy equipment, preventive maintenance, training systems, and troubleshooting. US citizenship required. Willingness to work on customer site and adhere to a 40‑hour week. Other Information Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel required: 10–25%. Telecommuting options: onsite. Work location: USA, New Mexico – Chaparral.
