Primary Job Duties

As a Training Coordinator, you will work in a fast‑paced environment full of variety that also requires critical thinking and multitasking skills. The result is a rewarding opportunity to schedule and support the pilot new‑hire and routine training process, while learning many different facets of the SkyWest operation.

As a Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of scheduling the training of our pilots and instructors.

This is a complex process, and the knowledge will build as different areas are introduced and assigned.

• Multiple software platforms/windows are open and used throughout the day
• Build training schedules for tracking
• Classroom
• Training devices
• Track progress and reschedule classes/students/sessions as needed
• Verify instructor qualifications for scheduled sessions
• Make necessary travel/lodging arrangements
• Schedule, coordinate, and pre‑assign other training related assignments as necessary
• Maintain excellent communication with Instructors, Pilot Records, as well as Flight Operations Managers and Supervisors
• Maintain knowledge of all department, company, and FAA policies
• Maintain reports as necessary in Excel and other programs

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Exceptional customer service skills, written and verbal
• Some flexibility in schedule to assist and work overtime to meet deadlines
• Manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and detail
• Self‑starter and motivated team player
• Critical thinking skills for adapting to changing environments and processes
• Work well with others as part of a team

Physical and Other Requirements

• This is a full‑time position
• Schedule is four 10‑hour shifts
• This is not a remote position. This position is located at our headquarters in St. George, UT
• Moderate noise level (business office with computers, printers, light traffic, and group setting)
• Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer and on the phone
• This is not a Department of Transportation safety‑sensitive position
