Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• 2+ years of Special Care Nursery (SCN) / NICU experience preferred
• Experience with NICU Level II care strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Current STABLE certification
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced newborn care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to newborns in a special newborn nursery setting
• Monitor infants requiring Level II special care support
• Collaborate with neonatal and perinatal care teams to support safe patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient updates accurately in Allscripts
• Respond to the needs of a busy unit with approximately 800 births per year
• Support family-centered care while maintaining a calm, compassionate presence
• Work effectively with 24/7 neonatal provider coverage and multidisciplinary support
