The ideal candidate will be comfortable giving presentations in front of various size audiences, both in-person and virtually.

• Job responsibilities may include:

• assisting with development of reports for DWR's compliance with Phase 2 of EPA's NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule)
• serving as a technical program representative who can bridge the gap between IT partners and programmatic team on eRule projects
• development of training materials and documentation for new and existing forms in MyTDEC Forms
• e-reporting, mapping of data between systems, and data flows to DWR and EPA databases

• This person would also provide outreach to both internal and external staff on training for all aspects of e-reporting and NPDES data management.
• The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and attentive to data quality.
• Customer service skills are very important as this person will also provide support to both internal and external customers.
• Extra skills that would be nice to have are proficiency in ARC GIS and Tableau as these could open additional project opportunities within the unit.

Summary: The Ideal DBA Profile for This Role

• Database Platform Knowledge : Strong in SQL Server or Oracle, with experience in data mapping, compliance reporting, and possibly PostgreSQL.

• Domain Expertise : Experience in environmental data, EPA reporting (NPDES/eRule), and data quality assurance.

• Integration/ETL : Familiarity with moving and transforming data between systems (internal forms to EPA databases).

• Soft Skills : Ability to train users, give presentations, and provide technical support.

• Bonus Skills : Experience with ArcGIS, Tableau, and spatial data management.
