Physician - Gastroenterologist

Gastroenterology Opportunity

Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Gastroenterologist to join the team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will be able to perform ERCP and EUS but is not required. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, recommending, participating in, and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients, accepting patient referrals from other physicians, acting as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, participating in academic programs, providing appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements, appealing all denials in a timely manner, and participating in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
