Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in acute care for a 26-week travel contract based in a prestigious Level II Trauma Center in Topeka, Kansas. This role involves providing occupational therapy services in a hospital setting, with diverse cases including general medicine, neurology, orthopedics, and more.

Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans
• Provide therapy for patients with acute conditions including general medicine, neurology, orthopedic, and cardiac issues
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists
• Manage patient transferring with lines and drains, particularly with more acute diagnoses
• Participate in daily huddles and chart reviews

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Occupational Therapist (OT) License - KSBHA OT Required
• Certification from NBCOT (COTA/OTR) required
• BLS AHA ONLY - must be obtained within first 90 days if not currently held
• Experience in acute care hospital settings
