Director of Sales (Marketing Director)

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and results-driven Sales Director to join our Independent Living community and partner alongside our current Sales Director to drive occupancy, build meaningful connections, and create exceptional experiences for prospective residents and their families. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys working collaboratively while making a real difference in the lives of seniors. What You’ll Do Partner with the current Sales Director to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Build and maintain relationships with prospective residents, families, referral sources, and local organizations. Conduct community tours and provide personalized follow‑up throughout the sales process. Assist with lead management, inquiry response, and CRM documentation. Coordinate and participate in marketing events, community outreach initiatives, and networking opportunities. Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure a seamless move‑in experience for new residents. Help develop and execute creative sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy. Represent the community professionally and enthusiastically both inside and outside the community. What We’re Looking For Previous sales experience, preferably in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, real estate, or a related service industry. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to achieve results. Experience with CRM systems is a plus. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and community activities. A genuine passion for serving seniors and their families. Marketing and Community Relations Responsibilities Responsible for community outreach and education activities for creating referrals. Specific goals include but are not limited to: Ten meetings with potential new referrers per week. One fax bomb per month to key referral sources. Fifteen telephone calls per day. Five referrals received per week. Coordinates outreach meetings for other key staff including General Manager, Residency Counselor, and Relocation Specialist. Provides direct sales backup for Community Residency Counselor, answering telephone inquiries, scheduling visits, conducting tours, and closing sales as needed when Community Residency Counselor is not available. Knows and consistently uses a customer‑oriented selling approach. Participates with Residency Counselor and Relocation Specialist on development of effective sales and marketing plans drawing on information from analysis of the competitive environment. Updates key competitor evaluation and price surveys semi‑annually. Compliance and Safety: Follows all emergency procedures. Understands all safety practices and procedures.
