Morgan Legal Group, P.C. is seeking an ambitious, experienced, and litigation-driven Associate Attorney to join our growing Estate Litigation team and help supervise our new Westchester location.

This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney ready to take on meaningful litigation matters, manage a diverse caseload, and play an important role in expanding the firm's presence in Westchester County and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has strong courtroom advocacy skills, a solid understanding of New York estate and probate law, and the leadership abilities to help oversee legal matters and support the development of our new location.

Our practice focuses on estate disputes, probate litigation, trust contests, fiduciary disputes, and complex matters involving Surrogate's Court proceedings. We are looking for a proactive professional who can work independently, develop effective litigation strategies, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and Support Our New Westchester Location: Help oversee legal operations, manage assigned matters, and contribute to the growth of the firm's Westchester practice.
• Handle estate litigation, probate disputes, trust contests, and fiduciary-related matters.
• Represent clients in New York Surrogate's Court, Supreme Court, and other relevant courts.
• Prepare and argue motions, draft pleadings, discovery demands, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Develop case strategies and prepare matters for hearings, conferences, settlement negotiations, and trials.
• Independently manage an active caseload while meeting court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Attend court appearances throughout the Bronx, Yonkers, Westchester County, Rockland County, and New York City as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with firm leadership, attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
• Maintain accurate case records, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely court filings.
• Provide professional guidance and oversight to support the effective handling of estate litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience , preferably in estate litigation, probate, trusts, or fiduciary disputes.
• Experience with New York Surrogate's Court procedures is strongly preferred.
• Prior supervisory, leadership, or practice-management experience is a plus.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and exercise sound legal judgment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances and oversee matters across the assigned service areas.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary of $130,000–$150,000 annually , based on experience.

The attorney will be expected to help supervise our new Westchester location while handling estate litigation matters and court appearances throughout the designated areas. The position offers a hybrid arrangement, with in-person attendance required when necessary for court appearances, client meetings, and firm operations.
