Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: Certifications Required Must-Have: Compassion, teamwork Description: Candidate must have a strong orthopedic background. This unit specializes in knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries. The unit has 26 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. Unit staffing includes secretaries, patient care technicians, and navigators. Types of equipment used on the unit include coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires four weekend shifts per schedule. There is a floating policy in place that involves rotation. Patient experience requirements emphasize a standard of 72%. The required uniform is navy scrubs.
