You’ll step in as the Director of HR & Administration for our growing group of five Culver's restaurants — fully accountable for how we attract, hire, develop, and keep great people. From day one you’ll be treated like a strategic partner: reporting directly to the COO, with a seat at the leadership table and real ownership of the people function. This isn’t a back-office role. It’s the role that determines whether we have the teams and future leaders we need to open our next restaurant — and the one after that. Partner with GMs to make Culver's the place people want to work — where great performance is seen, hospitality is lived, and team members stay and grow. Culture isn’t an accident here; it’s something you build on purpose. Our Team Own recruiting end to end — compelling job postings, competitive market pay analysis, and a proactive candidate pipeline so we’re never starting from zero. Run first-round screening for GM, management, and leadership roles, and make sure every new hire gets a strong, organized start. Build the bench before we need it. Our Future Leaders Develop the next generation of Culver's leaders. Partner with GMs to ensure required training is completed on time for team members, managers, and GMs, and build the development and cross-training paths that turn today’s crew into tomorrow’s shift leaders, managers, and operators. Our growth depends on the leaders you grow. Beyond the three core domains: Serve as the primary resource for HR questions and employee relations across all locations; coordinate health insurance and run a smooth annual open enrollment; support accurate, on-time payroll with our provider; keep us compliant with employment law; and provide light office and administrative support that keeps our multi-unit operation running. THE WINNING PROFILE Rare. But we know it when we see it. What we’re looking for is rare — a people focused leader with an ownership mindset who treats our staffing and culture like the growth engine it is. You build culture on purpose. You’ve made previous workplaces better, and you can point to how. You’re in the numbers. Time-to-fill, turnover, training completion, market pay — you have a point of view on all of them and know how they impact our business. You develop people deliberately. Someone is a leader today because of a plan you built, not luck. You close the loop. When an employee issue or a staffing gap shows up, you own it, solve it, and make sure it stays solved. You think ahead. You plan for the people we’ll need to open the next location — before we need them. You bring the fundamentals. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of HR experience (generalist, HR manager, or people ops), Strong working knowledge of Florida and federal employment law, benefits and payroll basics, Valid driver’s license to travel between our local restaurants. SHRM-CP/PHR certification and Multi-unit, restaurant, or hospitality experience are strong pluses. HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS We manage by scorecard, not by gut.
