About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 4 years in ICU or related settings License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 2:1 - Charting system experience with Epic - Travel experience required Description: ICU Float position will be required to float to all inpatient units, including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications and have a valid RN licensure. It is essential to have four years of nursing experience. The role involves managing patient care in critical conditions across various units. Staffing ratios during shifts will be 2 patients per nurse. There is a requirement to float to different units and take on patient assignments across these areas. This position supports a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including recovery from surgeries, neurological conditions, and sepsis management. Care will involve the use of special equipment, such as CRRT and ECMO. Candidates should have skills in advanced patient care procedures and monitoring techniques. The role emphasizes teamwork with interdisciplinary support services. Nurses are expected to have comprehensive knowledge in medication administration and emergency protocols. Responsibilities may include patient assessments, developing care plans, and participating in care delivery.
