Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This dynamic contract opportunity offers the potential for two openings: a short-term placement anticipated in September–October 2026, and a forthcoming potential need for the 2026–2027 academic year. Both positions focus on delivering vital social, emotional, and behavioral support for students in a compassionate and collaborative school setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Teaching Certification as a School Social Worker
• NYS Licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); LCSW highly preferred
• Experience working in special education or school-based settings is a plus
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting students and families
• Capacity to manage documentation and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to students as part of special education services
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
• Consult with staff, families, and outside providers to ensure a coordinated support network
• Perform behavioral assessments and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain thorough case documentation and progress notes
• Support the creation of a positive, inclusive school environment
