Machine Operator

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our Arcade, NY plant. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality products in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This is a 2nd shift opportunity with a schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $19.50, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols
• Ensure Kent Nutrition's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Provide excellent customer service
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years manufacturing/factory experience
• Farming background a plus
• Mechanical aptitude preferred

Other Qualifications:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
• Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers
• Ability to work as a team member
• Thorough understanding of cGMP's
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
