Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for low-acuity critical care patients within a 12-bed, 24-hour cardiac and vascular observation unit
• Monitor and manage patients on arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 drips
• Care for a high-volume, fast-paced patient population with diverse cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures
• Support pre-surgical patients and those recovering from same-day procedures requiring extended observation prior to discharge
• Complete a proctored, non-multiple-choice rhythm identification test upon unit orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of IMC, PCU, Step-Down, or related specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Experience with PA catheters; exposure to rare ventilator management acceptable
• No IABP or Impella experience required; these modalities are not utilized on this unit
• Ability to pass a proctored rhythm identification exam (two attempts permitted)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Prior experience in a cardiac or vascular step-down, CVICU step-down, or CICU step-down setting
• Familiarity with LVAD management and cardiovascular drip titration
