Veterinary Technician/Experienced Assistant - Anesthesia

This is a full time position/ 40 hours per week, flexible schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays. Additional pay for On-call. Angell Animal Medical Center is looking for a certified vet technician or experienced vet assistant to join our skilled anesthesia team. We have a $10,000 sign on bonus for Veterinary Technicians hired into our Anesthesia Department at Angell!

Our Anesthesia Department: With 3 board certified anesthesiologists, 4 board certified surgeons and 3 resident surgeons, 7 surgical suites, state-of-the-art monitoring and surgical equipment, this position is perfect for the certified technician who wants to be working in an innovative and challenging environment working alongside the best veterinary doctors in the country.

Compensation: Veterinary Assistants starting $24-$29/hour Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $29-$34/hr Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.

Skills: Previous Animal Handling Experience Advanced

Education: Associates or better in Veterinary Technology or related field.

Experience: Applicants must have technical skills including, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia, CPR procedures. 2 years: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant with strong experience in anesthesia. Work experience in a fast-paced, multi-veterinarian hospital, emergency/referral practice or veterinary teaching hospital is preferred.
